These earbuds where for a gift and work great. At half price and still brand new in the box, can't beat Amazom.com.
Great sound, even straight from the package, no burn in time. I emailed several times, no answer. I use earbuds on the plane and when I sleep.
The reason I am giving this review 2 stars is: they keep fraying. I made sure to package them in their case and everything. The lows are a little muddied, mids are clear and highs are excellent.
The second I started using the ipod buds, I took them off and went straight to the bose store to buy my second pair. After 5 months, my first pair broke, first by going on and off in the right ear, then completely gone in the right ear, on and off in the left ear, then completely no sound. It was tough to buy them at $100, so I tried going back to my ipod earbuds.
Within 3 months, the exact same thing happened. I am now buying the Denon AH451's and Jbuds J2's.
Fine product, as are all "BOSE products. If you own an iTouch or ipod of some sort you got to have them. Coudn't be happier, Thank You.
I've nothing negative to say about the sound quality of these earbuds. I've bought two pairs in the last year, and the second pair, purchased less than six months ago, is shot. They are Bose, afterall and I expected and got exceptional sound quality. However, don't get too attached because these things are way too fragile and ill designed. I thought the first pair might have been defective or something; but once the second pair went haywire, I realized it's something else entirely. If you insist on getting them; and trust me, I understand the desire to own them, I'd highly recommend purchasing a warranty.
Also I was very disappointed in how long they last. However, the cons greatly overtake the pros of the BOSE in ear headphones. The Bose in-ear headphones have some of the best sound quality I have ever listened to. I received mine in January, and today, 4 months later the sound now is choppy and often goes into compete static. The rubber buds that go around the small speakers themselves pop off a lot. I think BOSE knows this because they inlude three pairs with every box. I tried with other sets of headphones towns sure it was not my iPod and I was right. BOSE pleAseMake these last longer, we can't spend $100 every 4 months.
